Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

A school lunchbox favorite...

Did you find pudding in your school lunchbox or do you put pudding packs in your kid's lunchbox? After all, it is a staple when growing up. In years' past, it was not an everyday item but instead a special treat where at first sight of a tiny little spoon you knew what was awaiting your taste's pleasure.

September 19 is...

National Butterscotch Pudding Day

Butterscotch is a type of confectionery basically made with boiling sugar syrup, butter, cream and lemon (recipes do vary). There are several theories on the name and origin of the candy. One is its obvious connection to the country of Scotland. Buttery toffee is sometimes called butterscotch. (Source: History of Butterscotch)
If the pudding alone is not your forte, try using it as a main ingredient in a different recipe. Perhaps muffins will better suit your taste...
