Pause in Remembrance of a True American Space Legend

July 20th marked celebration of Moon Day - remembering the day 47 years ago when upon landing on the moon, Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong reported "The Eagle Has Landed." A few hours later, Armstrong stepped off of the Eagle's ladder, placed one foot upon the moon's surface and proclaimed:

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."



Today we honor the memory of Astronaut Neil Armstrong...


(August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012)

Neil Armstrong was a quiet, self-described "nerdy" engineer who became a global hero when as a steely-nerved U.S. pilot he made "one giant leap for mankind" with the first step on the moon.
