TGIM!...MYday!

Is there an error in the title? TGIM? Shouldn't that be TGIF? But, wait...today is NOT Friday. Today is Monday! The 'M' must be correct which makes today TGIM! Hey, why let TGIF get all the glory? Let's face it, in order to get to that super TGIF, you have to go through Monday first. No way around it, over it, or under it, nor is any bypass available for that matter. Pause for a moment. Think about it. If you rush the week trying to get to Friday as quickly as possible, doesn't that push you closer to the NEXT Monday? So, what's the point in starting a Monday with visions of only "I can't wait until Friday gets here!"? Why wait until the end of the week to celebrate? Why not celebrate the beginning of the week!

As a schoolchild once complained: “Mondays are bad enough, but why do they have to be at the start of the week?” Well, the week has to start somewhere. The question is what makes Monday so bad? Is its 'bad' connotation simply because it lets you know the weekend is over? Time to take a closer look at the day named Monday. Perhaps some much needed changes are in order.

"Mon" is French for my. With that thought in mind, Monday becomes MYday. How unique is that? Repeat after me, "MYday! I set the pace, I set the tone, I set the mood!" Say it again, "MYday!" As you are repeating MYday, remember you are setting the precedence not just for the day either, but for the whole week. See how many Monday morning glum faces you can turn around on TGIM!
