Before we get down to recipe time, keep in mind there is absolutely madness surrounding the numerous types of chocolate chip cookies. Which kind do you have in mind...the original Toll House, dark chocolate, white chocolate, with nuts, without nuts, double chocolate, triple chocolate, stuffed, soft batch, chewy, crunchy, marshmallowed, dipped, organic, aging-the-dough, mini, regular, jumbo...oh, my! The list just keeps going on and on and on!
What do you do on Chocolate Chip Cookie Day? The answer to that question is indeed a no-brainer...You EAT chocolate chip cookies! But, before the eating comes acquiring. Which route do you prefer?
*Do you go to the local grocery, walk to the cookie aisle and fumble through the dozens upon dozens of cookie brands? Even looking only for chocolate chip doesn't take your eyes just to one kind.
*Do you visit the bakery section of the grocery hoping to find chocolate chip among the many varieties available that day or perhaps make a visit to a local bakery specializing in its chocolate chip cookie being the best in the land?
*Do you waltz over to the refrigerator section looking for the slice-'n'-bake? At least these fill the kitchen with that awesome aroma of fresh-baked cookies. You don't get that out of the box or package!
