Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

PB&J All the Way

A kid's staple in the brown-bag school lunch, as well as an all-time favorite snack, is the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, aka the PB&J. Of course, the same can be said for some adults since the PB&J has no age limit. That's because you get a lot of calories in a hurry when your energy level has bottomed out. Plus, it just tastes grr-r-r-reat!

April 2 is...

Even as adults, just the thought brings out the kid in all of us! You just don't outgrow the PB&J. Outrageous ingredients might be added, it may even be fried but the basic premise is still there. No way around it...it is still a PB&J!

Tip of the Day
😉In order to keep the bread from getting soggy from jelly over night or throughout the day, put peanut butter on both slices of bread and then put jelly in between.  Another PB&J pro-tip: toast the bread first; then add peanut butter to both sides with jelly in the middle; place the slices together and allow the peanut butter time to melt a little; then eat it while it’s still warm.
