Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

Today & Tomorrow

TODAY: Vanilla Cupcake Day
TOMORROW: Veterans Day

According to the celebrations posted for the Second Week of November, you should be enjoying Vanilla Cupcake Day! Vanilla cupcakes are oh-so sweet and so-o-o-o-o-o buttery. If you have not already indulged, it is time to go for it! After all, you do not have to wait for dessert to enjoy a cupcake or cupcakes plural, especially if minis. They make terrific snacks and most often vanilla or chocolate is at the top of the list. What makes Vanilla Cupcake Day even more special is the addition of whatever icing suits your fancy. You can even go a step further and add slices of fresh fruit, crushed candies or sprinkles. The possibilities are endless!

Most importantly is the fact vanilla cupcakes are relatively easy to make. So, with that thought in mind, follow the instructional video or click the image below for recipe and directions.

If you are not already doing so on a daily basis, don't forget to raise and/or display the American flag in honor of our veterans!

Yesterday, today, tomorrow and all tomorrows to come wave the American flag proudly! Know that flag! KNOW the colors - red, white, & blue - the sacrifices made, the Defining Moments of America: Pearl Harbor, D-Day, Iwo Jima, A Walk on the Moon, Vietnam War, Operation: Desert Storm, War in Afghanistan and 9/11 just to name a few. Before leaving, be sure to listen to Whitney Houston singing the national anthem! This is America, folks!
