The United States of America


How much do you know about each state of the US?

  • There are 8 official state dinosaurs. One is in Washington, DC with the other 7 in different states.
  • There are only 3 states with a state cat. The cats of choice include the Coon Cat, the Tabby & the Calico.
  • 11 states have designated an official state dog breed.
  • Only 4 states do NOT have a state mammal. 3 states have a state bat and 1 even claims the opossum.
  • Nearly half of the states name a state reptile, even the horned toad! 
During 2014, all 50 states were reported upon according to the month in which each became a state of the union.
