July is... (along with many other celebrations) National Blueberry Month, so it is of no surprise that today celebrates a top-of-the-morning treat to go along with your morning brew.
Whether for breakfast or snack, blueberry muffins are melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness and are honored each year on July 11 on National Blueberry Muffin Day. Blueberries are packed with rich flavor, high in antioxidants, are known to improve memory function, can reduce the effects of aging and are low in calories. In addition, the state of Maine is the larger producer of blueberries in the world with more than 60,000 acres if blueberry bushes being farmed.
Should you decide to enjoy them freshly baked, here are a few gr-r-r-reat recipes!
If you are not the baker or don't have time to bake a batch from scratch, just visit your local bakery on your way to the office or during break time!
