What's Happened & Happenin' in October

Hard to believe we are already almost halfway through the month of October. Beautiful scenes - changes in color and scary things - Halloween are in sight! Sales, Deals, Bargains still don storefronts, billboards and advertisements of all shapes and sizes in the aftermath of Columbus Day. Clearances and discounts attract shoppers of all ages in hopes of finding the best bargain basement price available. 

When October arrives, what is the first celebration that comes to mind? Perhaps it is Ghosts and goblins, all things Halloween! Of course, that does not come 'til the end of the month and there's a lot of celebration between now and then. Numerous Bizarre and Unique Holidays are designated for this month, along with umpteen food celebrations.

October is...  

...apples (Dipped and APPle, AppLE, APPLE-licious!), that which is Egg-licious, cookies, pizza, popcorn, Tattie, Tater, or Tate, Pumpkin Central, An Oily Kind of Day, time to "Go Nuts" for Nuts, Fruit with a Kick, seafood - Calling all Crustaceans, Dried Plums,  Chocolate with a Unique Crunch, Yummy...Dessert and so much more! 

 

It's pumpkin carving, delicious pies, windy days, falling leaves, that leaf-and-woodsmoke smell, crisp mornings, spectacular color, time change, sound of geese overhead, starry nights, sight of first snow, and whatever you would like to add to the list!
