Oscar Night


Tonight history will once again be made for movieland. Are you into the Academy Awards? If so, all the glitz and glimmer of Hollywood will be dazzling millions of viewers across the globe. The nickname “Oscar” wasn’t officially adopted for the statuette by the Academy until 1939. The Academy Awards title was rebranded The Oscars as recent as last year after the 85th annual Academy Awards. "Oscar" had been on the scene for decades but all of a sudden someone thought the title 85th Annual Academy Awards seemed a bit musty.
