Many performers record that one memorable hit song placing their names on the list of one-hit wonders. Others have multiple hits whose lives are cut short by tragedy but whose songs live on forever in the hearts and minds of their fans. Some are musicians of the decade with numerous hits within the music of the times. There are those who begin as mere children to experience youthful success while many continue successfully well into adulthood. It is always refreshing when a teen idol of the 60s is a prominent performer well into the 21st century, not only in the music realm but also starring on Broadway, hosting two television series, and entertaining nightly in Las Vegas. Such is the case of today's spotlight.

Donny Osmond A humble beginning singing barbershop harmony found its place on Main Street Disneyland. Donny Osmond was only five years old when he became the frontman of the family barbershop quintet. This was the early 60s when music was booming. Donny has sold over 100 million records over five decades, and has received 33 gold records, 18 of them before the age of 13.

From Youth to Adult

1971 Donny Osmond started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Go Away Little Girl'. The singers only US solo chart topper. The song had also been a No.1 for Steve Lawrence in 1963.

To celebrate 50 years in show business, Donny Osmond released his 60th album Soundtrack of My Life on January 13, 2015. It has been said that the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and tribulation. Donny Osmond has stood at the highest peaks of success any man could hope to attain in a lifetime. But, all of these success stem from his upbringing.
