Snacks are welcomed any time of the day or night. One of the most enjoyable snacks to cool the summer heat during the month of August is either ice cream or a Popsicle. What a treat when both can be enjoyed at the same time!

National Creamsicle Day

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!" Mentioning Creamsicle along with that phrase definitely screams childhood!! When a word ends in ‘sicle’, first thoughts are the popsicle, which is usually frozen fruit on a stick. The creamsicle takes the popsicle to a whole new level with the fruit-flavored ice surrounding an ice cream center. This richer, mellower cousin of the popsicle bursts with flavor and creaminess! Can you taste it? Is your mouth watering yet?

Head out to your local grocery or convenience store and stock up for your late afternoon, evening and/or midnight snack. Better still buy the ingredients and make your own! Get creative!
