A Tough Nut to Crack

Remember the expression sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't? Well, get ready to 'go nuts' all day for at least one day. This tough nut to crack is native to Australia. It is a rich, buttery nut many believe to be the most delicious of all nuts. Continue on to see if you one who agrees or disagrees with this conclusion.

September 4 is...

National Macadamia Nut Day

The Macadamia Nut is one of Australia’s few contributions to the world’s food plants, and as mentioned in the beginning, this rich, buttery nut is considered by many to be the most delicious of all nuts. The macadamia tree originated in Australia. It was introduced into the United States in Hawaii around 1881 and used ornamentally. The first commercial orchards of macadamias in Hawaii were not planted until 1921.
