♫ 'Pet' Sounds♫

When you think of the term 'pet', what comes first to your mind? There are our adorable, lovable animal friends, 'pet peeves' and favorite things. In school, one might be referred to as the 'teacher's pet'. Loved ones may even refer to each other as 'pet'. One of the biggest fads of the 70s was the 'pet rock'. But, what about 'pet' sounds? Going back to our animal friends, 'pet' sounds could be the soothing purr of a kitten, the annoyance of a yelping dog, the roaring of a lion, the wake-up call of a rooster, the song of the Robin announcing Spring, or simply any sound(s) that we like.

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, was their attempt to address the challenge posed by the Beach Boys’ magnum opus, Pet Sounds - which itself was inspired by the British foursome’s Rubber Soul.
