MLK & Polar Bear...What's the connection?

The true celebration for the third Monday of January was posted earlier in commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr. whose life represents the Epitome of Commitment. The federal holiday honoring the civil rights leader is to be observed tomorrow, January 18, 2016.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday was observed in all 50 of The United States of America for the first time January 18,1993.  [Source: History of MLK Day]

In the words of Dr. King...
Life's most persistent and urgent question is: "What are you doing for others?"
The time is right to always do what is right.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.


As with most days, celebrations are NOT limited to just one...

The first polar bear, a nine-month old cub captured in Greenland, was exhibited in America (Boston, Massachusetts) on January 18, 1733.
The baby polar bear does look rather cuddly...
