The 'Double D'!

Your first thought at the title The 'Double D' might possibly shift through a variety of things. The size DD bra? Well, this Double D probably has had more movie roles than any actress of 'Double D' fame. Did you think of the 'Double D' Ranch? After all, it is one of the nation's foremost hunting facilities. What about the Donnie Double D hamburger of Wahlburg fame? Then, of course, there is the skinny nerd with a black sock over his head in 'Ed Edd and Eddy' the cartoon show on cartoon network. Well, it is none of the above!

Today is...

My,, my,, my, Donald! You haven't aged a day!

Donald Duck usually wears a sailor suit with a cap and a black or red bow tie and is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech along with his mischievous and irritable personality.
The official birthday of Donald Fauntleroy Duck is recognized as June 9, 1934. On that day, Donald Duck made his official screen debut in the Silly Symphony cartoon The Wise Little Hen. Being easily provoked, with a fiery temper and really bad luck, Donald Duck won over audiences who immediately became endeared to him. He appeared in 128 Donald Duck cartoons along with a number of others starring alongside Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. On February 7, 1938, Donald’s fame spread beyond animation to a daily Donald Duck’s comic strip featured in comic books and newspapers.

Donald Duck appeared in more films than any other Disney character. In 2002, TV Guide listed Donald as one of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time. Donald's second appearance in Orphan's Benefit introduced him to his comic friend Mickey Mouse. Shortly after, his girlfriend, Daisy Duck and his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie were also introduced.
