By the way, ladies would often hang their "unmentionables" between rows of sheets so they couldn't be viewed by others.Sandra Nachlingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16906884446237370105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7910520855356350996.post-54637232008502081062012-09-08T10:09:03.562-04:002012-09-08T10:09:03.562-04:00Hi, just wanted to tell you, I enjoyed thiѕ

We both lived in an area where the hill side was too steep for a line but both had decks. The clothesline was attached to the deck and strung out to a tree with a pulley so you could just pull it to you. What a happy person I was for years to be able to smell and feel sheets and under garments from the fresh air!

Thanks for the memory.
RosemaryExtraordinay Dreams of an Ireland Traveler by Mamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05544525522910527784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7910520855356350996.post-25707899901190544662012-07-31T20:21:29.300-04:002012-07-31T20:21:29.300-04:00Hi Sharla! I hang everything but towels and jeans (I don't like the way the towels get hard, nor the jeans, almost get rough in the Texas sun). Best part, they are dry within 15 minutes down here with the sun. It's great for the throw rugs too. We have a few acres so nobody sees my laundry.Deirdre Tolhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13828451041549017843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7910520855356350996.post-28619985087227902432012-07-30T13:42:59.803-04:002012-07-30T13:42:59.803-04:00Definitely the sheets!!!!! Unfortunately, for so many, it has been totally replaced by the automatic dryer. Sadly, there are also ordinances in some housing subdivisions that do not allow the clothes line!
